An All-Weather Pitch is the exciting next step in the future of Monasterevan GFC.

 

With planning permission already granted, this next phase of our Development Masterplan will include the installation of a 60mx40m all weather pitch, including fencing, floodlighting and associated drainage, along with the realigning the current training pitch to accommodate this development.

 

This phase follows on from our successful completion of previous large-scale projects with an investment of circa €1million in our facilities over the last 10 years. We are proud to be currently debt-free following all this work. Projects completed include the purchase and development of the lands for our 2 training and underage pitches, the new clubhouse, main pitch floodlighting and walking track along with other infrastructure projects.

 

These projects would not be completed without the support of our members and friends and we hope for more support with this next phase of investment. The cost of delivering the All Weather Pitch is €300,000. Monasterevan GFC have an approved Sports Capital Grant of €150,379 and plan to seek Local Authority Grants, Loan Facilities and Fundraising to secure the necessary money for this project. We are also aiming to fundraise €50,000 to support the overall funding of this project through the launch of the "Monasterevan GFC All-Weather Development Supporters Wall". All of the fundraised money will be going towards the All Weather Astro pitch development. The wall will be permanent and creatively designed and will be placed near the clubhouse beside the All-Weather Pitch along with 4 overall development support banners placed in strategic locations around our grounds.

​It is hoped with the support of our members and friends that work on the project could begin in September 2025 and be completed with an official opening by early 2026.
